Meet Your Dentist
Sung Jun Yeon, D.M.D
Dr. Yeon was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He first came to the states after middle school and attended high school in Tennessee. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and went on to receive his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania.
After graduating from dental school, he went back to Korea to serve in the army. While he was serving in the army, he married his wife, Diana Lee. They first met as classmates back in dental school, and Diana is currently an orthodontist at the Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) in Bangor. After getting dismissed from the army, he returned to the states to practice dentistry. Dr. Yeon’s goal as a dentist is to give patients beautiful smiles and good oral health.
While Dr. Yeon is not working in the clinic, you can find him playing sports or hanging out with family and friends. As a Duke Blue Devil, he also enjoys watching college basketball games, especially the rival matches between Duke and UNC. While in Maine, he fell in love with the outdoor activities Maine has to offer. Dr. Yeon and his wife love kayaking and hiking on weekends.

Sonya was born in Texas, but spent her life growing up in Maine. She worked as a Customer Service Representative for 5+ years, when she decided to try something new. Sonya embarked on her dentistry journey starting in 2020 as a Patient Care Coordinator. Sonya strives to help her patients and is consistently eager to continue learning. When outside of the office she enjoys spending her time with her Husband, 3 children, and their animals.

Courtney
Courtney has enjoyed her career in dentistry since 2015 and is a graduate from the University of New England Dental Hygiene program. Courtney is most passionate about patient education and one of Courtney’s strengths is making patients feeling at ease. In Courtney’s free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her two children and reading.

Becky
Becky went to New England School of Dental Assisting in 2021 and received her Radiology training at Boston University. She lives locally with her three girls and their dog, Maverick.

Traci
Traci graduated from University of New England in 2012, Where she was awarded the chair side educational award. She has 2 children and likes to be around friends and family. She loves to have a fire pit with s’mores. Traci’s favorite season is fall watching all the leaves changing colors. She has been with us for 5 years.

Katie
Katie is a dental hygienist of 20yrs, graduating from the University of Maine in 2004. After working for for 13+ yrs she took some time to achieve her Bachelor’s in Mental Health and Human Services while being a stay-at-home mother during COVID. Katie also achieved her independent practicing hygienist license shortly after her return to hygiene in 2021.
Katie is a native to Maine and grew up in the Augusta area. Florida is a second home for her where she spends most of her vacations visiting family there. She enjoys the sun, sand and the water.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 children, 2 daughters, a son, her husband and family pets. Two dogs, a miniature Australian shepherd, shepherd lab mix and a 26+lb Maine Coon cat.
