If a more lovely smile and comprehensive oral hygiene sound are your dental health goals, the contouring and reshaping of certain teeth can be highly advantageous.

This procedure will make your teeth more even and very straight. Sometimes a completely normal tooth can benefit when overlapping with other teeth, are too long, or slightly out of the desired shape as it applies to all of your teeth. Tooth enamel with bumps or pits may also benefit from tooth contouring, which is mainly limited to minor procedures aesthetic in nature as it’s important not to remove too much tooth enamel lest it weaken the tooth.

Tooth contouring and reshaping is often performed along with dental bonding.

In the end, your smile will be more evenly composed and, often, less crowded. After that, our prescription is full on dental hygiene for the rest of your days!

Step 1

First, your Waterville Family Dentistry dentist will perform an initial exam and consultation and will likely need to take x-rays to get a true picture of the issue. After making sure the tooth and/or teeth are healthy and capable of sustaining the procedure

Step 2

We’ll schedule it and get to work on your smile! FYI: Pain medication and numbing agents usually aren’t required for tooth contouring and reshaping, depending on the severity of your dental health situation.

Step 3

Tooth contouring and reshaping is often performed along with dental bonding. We will determine if Dental Bonding is right for your path to your perfect smile.

I am 53, and I have experienced many dentists in my lifetime. I have hated all of my experiences, so this review is a BIG DEAL because I had to go to Dr. Choe to get 3 fillings done, and he fixed the problem very expediently and with empathy to my nervousness, and I left feeling extremely happy with his results! Dr. Choe is the best dentist I have ever had to see, and I am forlorn that it took so long in my life to actually have a pleasant experience.
